Divine Tools
"Knowledge
is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where
we can find information upon it. - Samuel Johnson
The best value as a Virtual Angel is the ability to find information and resources. Here are some divine tools that I use to make my business successful.
Write
Well University - I've been working since 2005 to bring
this to fruition, and on June 1, 2007, Write Well U launched!!!
Write Well University is a company that designs and offers
writing programs. In addition to our programs, we also offer
writing coaching and Writing Circles to help individuals with
their specific writing challenges and to help keep writers
writing. Our goal is to help people improve their writing
skills, and our programs have been designed with real writing
issues in mind.
WOW!
(Writing On a Whim) writing series - We all want to write
well, and sometimes that just means practicing. Sign up for
WOW! (it's free), and get weekly practice writing on a variety
of topics: snippets from songs, quotations, thoughts, all
sorts of things to get you writing - and writing well.
Write Well Me -
All about my journey as a person as well as the birth and
development of Write Well University.
Practice
Pay Solutions merchant account - Are you a small business
owner who would like to take credit cards? Practice Pay Solutions
provides a merchant account with an on-line terminal (meaning
you can process credit cards on-line) with reasonable fees.
I can't imagine a business owner not being able to take credit
cards. Being able to process your clients' and customers'
payments by credit cards gives you a professional edge.
Visual Thesaurus - As a writer, a thesaurus is my dearest friend! I have used the thesaurus at Thesaurus.com, but my new favorite is Visual Thesaurus. Though I'm very visual, the Visual Thesaurus took a little getting used to. Now I love it. I love seeing how the words relate. Not only that, when you mouse over words and synonyms, the definitions magically appear!
Quoteland
- A fantastic database of quotations by topic, author, special
occasion, and literature. It also has resources to find a
quotation as well as user discussion groups that can help
you find the author of a particular quotation or find that
perfect quotation. I've used the quote forums many times and
have always received a reply to my quotation query within
24 hours! How's that for service?
